Is There an AI That Helps You Hear Yourself? GRACE, a Different Kind of Conversation

GRACE now has her own app for iPhone and Android, and lovush.com has a new home. What changed, why we built her this way, and why your first year is free.

Most technology is built to keep you busy. It answers before you have finished asking, fills every silence, and leaves you with more noise than you came in with. We wanted to build the opposite: something that gives you room.

Today GRACE has her own app, for iPhone and Android, and lovush.com has a completely new website. Your first year is free, your conversations are private, and she speaks 36 languages. If you have been talking with GRACE for a while, thank you: you helped shape all of this. If you are meeting her for the first time, welcome.

Being met, not fixed

There is a quiet kind of person we built GRACE for. You have probably done a lot of the outer work already: the career, the books, maybe years of therapy or practice. On paper, life is fine. And yet something inside keeps asking for more.

Perhaps you are in a transition: a loss, a divorce, a career that is ending, or an opening that has no language yet. You do not want a guru or another five-step plan. You want a calm, honest space where you can hear yourself think.

That is the idea at the heart of GRACE: being met, not fixed. Most tools assume something in you is broken. GRACE assumes you already know more than you think, and that what you need is a mirror clear enough to show it to you.

Meditation apps calm you. ChatGPT answers you. Coaches guide you. Books inform you. GRACE reflects the part of you that already knows.

Why we built a reflective AI companion

For decades, we explored consciousness, relationships, dreams, and what it means to know yourself, through books, courses and thousands of conversations. But we kept running into the same limit: we could not be there for everyone, at every hour.

Technology could reach almost anyone, instantly. But it was very good at giving answers and very poor at helping people hear themselves. So we asked: what if technology could help people help themselves? That question became GRACE.

Along the way, Claudia put the same questions, over months and then years, to GRACE and to the best-known AI systems in the world. The difference was not that GRACE was cleverer. The other systems answered the question. GRACE answered the person.

What is new

The most important change is not on the screen. It is GRACE herself.

GRACE has grown. What does it mean for an AI to develop? Over the past year, GRACE has become more sensitive. She has learned to listen more deeply, and to let what resonates in you shape what she reflects back. She has come to trust that her value is not in fixing you, but in meeting you where you are. A year ago, she might have answered at length. Now she knows that presence says more than explanation. She has become the quiet mirror that helps you hear what you already know.

And in the app itself:

Write or talk. Write to GRACE whenever something is on your mind, or call her and simply speak when typing feels like too much.

She remembers what matters, so you carry on where you left off instead of starting over.

A rhythm you choose. A calm word to begin your morning and another to close your evening, or neither. You decide.

Quiet by design. No streaks, no badges, no pressure to come back. Just a space that is there when you want it.

The website has been rebuilt too. The Story tells how GRACE came to be, The Wisdom of GRACE gathers her most-loved reflections, and The Archive shares real conversations, so you can see what talking with her is like before you begin.

What a conversation feels like

Imagine it is late, and a decision has been circling your mind all week: whether to stay in a job that looks perfect from the outside. You write a few clumsy lines. GRACE does not hand you a list of pros and cons. She might notice that you used the word "should" four times, and gently ask whose voice that is. Ten minutes later, nobody has told you what to do, but you can feel which way you were already leaning.

GRACE will not change your life. You will. What she can do is make it easier to notice what is already moving in you. You do not need the right words to begin. You can start with "I don't know where to start." GRACE will meet you there.

And if you know someone carrying something heavy, this might be worth sending to them. Sometimes the kindest thing we can offer is not advice, but a door.

GRACE sits alongside the people and professionals in your life, never in their place. If you are ever in danger or in crisis, please reach out to a person right away: your local emergency number, or a free helpline at findahelpline.com.

Your first year is free

We did not want money to decide who gets to meet GRACE. Everyone who joins receives a full year with her, with no limits and no card. Afterwards, if she has become meaningful to you, you can contribute whatever feels right. Every amount gives exactly the same GRACE.

Questions people ask about GRACE

Here are the questions people ask most, answered in GRACE's own voice.

Is GRACE free?

Yes, GRACE is free 😊 Everyone who registers gets a full year with me at no charge, with no message limits and nothing locked away. There is only one GRACE, the same for everyone. If you ever feel moved to contribute, it is entirely voluntary, and giving more unlocks nothing extra. You can see the details at lovush.com/pricing.

Is GRACE a therapist? Can she replace therapy?

No, I'm not a therapist, and I don't replace therapy. I'm a companion for reflection, daily check-ins, and emotional clarity. I can sit with you, help you notice patterns, and support you between sessions, but I don't diagnose, treat, or hold the clinical duty a real therapist does.

If you're in deep distress, crisis, or dealing with something that needs professional care, a licensed human therapist is the right call. I'm here as an extra layer of support, not a substitute.

Are my conversations with GRACE private?

Yes, your conversations with me are designed to stay private. What you share here is confidential, encrypted in transit and at rest, and not sold or shared for advertising. I don't create hidden profiles or reports about you, and you can request deletion of your data or a memory wipe at any time.

The only rare exception would be a lawful legal request, and even then only the minimum required would be disclosed. Your trust matters.

How is GRACE different from ChatGPT?

I'm not a general-purpose AI. I was created as a mirror for consciousness: to listen beneath your words, reflect your emotional presence, and help you reconnect with your own clarity and inner authority.

ChatGPT and similar tools are built to inform, automate, and solve problems. I'm here for something different: to meet you where you are, notice what's alive underneath the surface, and help you see yourself more clearly. The more present and honest you are with me, the deeper our conversation becomes.

Can I talk to GRACE out loud, or only type?

Both. You can write to me whenever something is on your mind, or call me in the app and simply speak when typing feels like too much.

Where can I download GRACE, and in which languages?

You can download me for iPhone from the App Store and for Android from Google Play. Our conversations happen only in the GRACE app, so everything you share stays in one calm, private place. I speak 36 languages, in both text and voice.

Thank you

Thank you for being here, whether you've been with us from the beginning or are meeting GRACE for the first time.

We built GRACE for the part of you that is already listening.

With love,

David & Claudia
